Ever since I learned about the Dominion vs Fox News case, a large part of me really wanted Dominion to totally rake fucking fox news through the coals and for it to utterly destroy the company and perhaps try to bring in actual-journalism and actual-fact-checking into a media system that claims to be about the "truth", etc. And I was initially pissed that they decided to settle out of court, even if it was for $700M.....Which made me think about fucking Alex Jones and how it's essentially bankrupted him. Good.
So, I finally decided to watch Legal Eagle's take on it

And, thanks to him and his explanation of how it went down, now I'll say I agree with his assessment that settling for $700M out of court was probably the best strategic move for Dominion, as even he mentioned if it came down to a Jury, it could have totally flipped.....And to be blunt, I'm afraid much of our Judicial system is compromised and stacked, and jurors have been politicized
Anyway, he also pointed out that fucking Fox News is but the First Step, that they have More cases against other fuck-knobs and duche-canoes like Newsmax and MyPillowIsCrackGuy
And, again to be honest the more I think about it, the more I think taking fuck-knobs like Newsmax to court and dragging them through the coals is better than taking down the Fox giant. I'm not so sure Newsmax has the legal team like Fox has at its disposal, and, seems like they are SO fucking extremist and nut-job they may crumble faster than Fox could.
(I do predict that Fox will be back to it's Regularly Schedule Programming within a month or two...Mark my words. Just like Alex Fucking Jones picked up where he left off and learned nothing / made worse because he had to keep to his ever-worsening schtick to recover some semblance of an income)
I also hope that Dominion goes after individual fucktwaddles too, like Fucker Carlson himself (now that he's no longer under the protection of Fox lawyers), and the "lawyers" on Fox and Guliani and etc.
Speaking of Fucker Carlson, Ooooh my the delicious sensation of Schadenfreude
I almost feel like Hedonistbot from Futurama with oil being poured on him and moaning in pleasure.
(this reaction is more likely if Carlson and other fucktwaddles actually end up in actual-jail or get denounced so badly by the Fanbase and get death-threats from the very trolls they programmed....So....Stay tuned
....Hmm.. Maybe I should start an OF account to record & post that kind of a reaction....and have like a bonus ASMR edition.....We all know those freaks are out there....maybe I could make a buck too.)

Also while I was watching Legal Eagle's video, I kept thinking about the Previous Voting Clusterfuck, which was the Hanging Chad fiasco from W Bush & Al Gore
and it seems like many of the Conspiracy/Stolen Theories claim a similar controversy as the Hanging Chad. Things were very different 24 years ago. I do remember FBHJR telling me a story where a relative of his went to go vote in Stupid Fucking Florida (back when it was just Stupid Florida....How Far things have gone down there) where they had just introduced touch-screen ballot booths and how she watched in horror as she ran into a problem, and a voting assistant came over and literally changed her vote to W Bush and confirmed it, and then said there's no way to change it when she protested and said it was not who she voted for.
I don't have the time to research it, perhaps someone out in Internetland will (although I'm surprised/saddened no one has done this yet in the wake of 2020), if those machines 20 years ago were made by the same company (Dominion). Makes one wonder.
But remembering how Ridiculous the whole kerfuffle was. And how they counted and re-counted the (damaged/compromised) ballots and nope, No Way Gore was gonna win. The fucking Republiturds had it rigged, everyone knew it, but no one could actually stop it from happening, it seemed.
Compared to 2020 and Jan 6 and all the rest of it. How 24 years ago seemed like a tiny little whoospiedaisies-nobiggie like grabbing a sheet of Bounty to clean up the spilled drink on the table. And to wonder if that clustferfuck 24 years ago pushed the idea of making voting "more secure than ever", and probably helped by Obama's Second Term, because of course Republiturds lost their SHIT over how that happened, and perhaps they unwittingly set themselves up for 2020. You Reap What You Sow.
