....What did you think i meant?

Anyway

I don't even remember knowing this series existed, and I don't remember what made me look for it on Disney+ very recently.  I think I saw a still image on FB or something somewhere.  So I decided to check it out.

And binged 1-2 episodes a night until I finished Season 1 just now.

Overalll I think it was OK.  It was definitely written for and aimed at kids.  But, I think Filoni does a good enough job at writing and character development and plot twists to make it easy enough to watch without getting too concerned about how....childish.... it feels.

I admit I skipped 2-3 episodes that I felt just weren't critical to the story arc, and mostly b/c it featured Nikuu, an incredibly annoying character.  I guess every SW series has to have a Jar Jar character.

The animation and artistic style I felt was really good.  Some episodes and scenes the cell animation style seemed a bit...Watery, but overall i think was pretty tight and fit within the SW universe.

There was a lot of problems with tech and consistency,  Some of the characters and gags and plot progression were painfully obvious and horrendously simplistic and predictable....But again, had to remind myself it's for kids.  (although, I could argue that Clone Wars and Rebels were also aimed towards younger audiences and they dealt with some serious and dark topics....So....eh.)

Once the New Order started taking over the station, it seemed to hit a little too close to home with current events and (recent) political climate / buffoonery.   Although the scene / progression of Tamora's character decided to join with the Order and feeling betrayed was HEAVY and I think well-played, as well as being eerily current with things today and the past 18 years.

I also felt the voice acting was very well done.

Not sure if I'll continue with S2 but knowing there is more to the story, I admit I do feel I want to see what happens.
