Chef bans diner from restaurant

Just going from the headline
"Chef bans diner from restaurant, gives money from $1,200 bill to staff members"
I have not yet read the article and not sure if it's "true" or not and don't really care, as I have a looooong day today so not a lot of time.
But anyway
the thought that came to mind when I read the headline is the thought that this whole "subculture" of Karens and being repulsive disgusting verbally abusive pieces of shit to businesses, and is almost a unique phenom here in the 'States, feels like a distorted form of Performance Theatre
It's almost like it's become a Fad or a Lifestyle
And being the most outrageous, impossible, petulant excuse of an entitled little brat, the extent that one can strive to be, seems to be getting slowly worse, because some of us fellow humans are catching up to the Performance and slowly becoming more resistant to it, so the Karens are trying harder and finding ways to be More Disgusting and More Obnoxious and More Disruptive
It's one thing where you have elderly Boomers who just become Impossible Potatoes full of piss & vinegar and do nothing but bitch & moan all day like it's become their profession (other than thanks to the aging process), but they seem to get to a certain level of pathetic bitching, because they're old and cranky they don't have the stamina and drive necessarily to keep pushing the envelope, and some of them seem to get to a point of apathy and arrogance that it just becomes a baseline and tapers off.
But no, not the Karens. It becomes a hobby or a job to find the right buttons to push and depths of sewers they will march further and deeper into, to make sure that everyone knows they think they're the ones in control.
Even some of them go so far that when we fight back, that makes them somehow worse.

And it seems to have been a growing issue, from what I've seen in history and in my own life history/experience, for about 60 years. I realize it's been around for eons, but our particular flavor of persistent flatulence seems to have been evolving on its own. I also realize other countries around the World are experiencing similar problems, like Chads/Chavs in the UK (from what I understand, seems to be more focused on destructive behavior and vandalism "it's someone else's job to clean up my mess"), but again I'm referring to our specific niche experience, hell-bent on public humiliation and mental/verbal abuse, with the added benefit that Everyone Within Earshot Gets to Experience and Witness
